Springfield, MO-A late rally spurred the Arkansas Travelers to a 7-5 win over the Springfield Cardinals on Saturday night. The Travs trailed by three after just two innings but battled back scoring twice in the fifth and again in the seventh. Each team tallied in the eighth before the Travs scored the decisive two runs on Chris Mariscal's two-run triple with two out in the ninth.
Moments That Mattered
* Chuck Taylor's second RBI double of the night tied the game in the seventh.
* Beau Amaral scored on a wild pitch to put the Travs up the eighth only to see Springfield come back and tie it on Granden Goetzman's base hit in the bottom of the inning.
* Yonathan Mendoza and Chuck Taylor singled with one out in the ninth to set the stage for Mariscal's heroics. His triple came on a 1-2 pitch with two out as he lined it into right-center field just past the streaking Cardinal centerfielder.
