Springfield, MO-The Springfield Cardinals handcuffed the Arkansas Travelers on Saturday, 6-1, sending the Travs to their third consecutive loss. Springfield blew the game open late with a four run seventh inning. Both teams struggled with runners in scoring position as the Travs were 0-7 and the Cards just 1-7. Two homers for the Cards accounted for four of their runs with the others coming home on a sacrifice fly and a wild pitch. Arkansas had chances throughout the game but stranded 10 men on base while getting just five total hits.
