Catcher Eli Tintor Released, De San Miguel Joins Snappers

In conjunction with the Minnesota Twins, catcher Eli Tintor was given his release Monday night. In 12 games with the Snappers this season Tintor was hitting .184 with three RBI's and a double.

Replacing Tintor on the roster will be former Snapper catcher Allan De San Miguel who will be coming from the double "A" New Britain Rock Cats, and will be joining the team in West Michigan today.

In seven games with the Rock Cats, De San Miguel was hitting .190 while collecting having two RBI's and knocking out a pair of doubles.

The Snappers will be home again on Saturday, May 16th as they take on the Peoria Chiefs with the first pitch schedule for 6:30pm. Rally towels sponsored by Hesser Toyota will be given out to the first 1,500 fans through the gate that evening.
