Farrar's Homer And Solid Pitching Fuels Snapper Win
Logan Farrar launched his fourth home run of the season en route to a Beloit Snappers (19-20) 2-0 victory over the Peoria Chiefs (22-19) in game one of a four-game series before 311 fans at Pohlman Field Monday night.
In the second inning on an 0-1 pitch in his first at bat, Farrar turned and launched a 430-foot bomb to right field to give the Snappers a 1-0 lead. Farrar took the sole lead in home runs on the team with the dinger.

The Snappers got their second shutout win of the season. They also dealt the Chiefs their first shutout loss of the season.
Right-hander
The Chiefs biggest threat came in the second inning, when they had bases loaded and one out. Jordan escaped by getting a pop up and strikeout.
Catcher
The Snappers have now won six of their last seven games, including their last three game while sitting 2.5 games back of first place.
