Skylar Stecker to Sing at Hot Stove Banquet
Skylar is an ambitious and charismatic 9 year old singer/songwriter from Madison, Wisconsin. She has a true passion for music! She spends most of her time outside of school singing, playing the piano, and TALKING! Skylar has already taken major strides in the past 6 months to learn and grow as a performer in order to reach her goal of becoming a "pop star" someday.
At a third grade talent show, her mother Kara, discovered that Skylar had something special. "We were blown away," said Kara. Prior to the event, Skylar approached her parents about singing. At only nine years old, they weren't sure what to expect. But, when she took the stage, it became clear she had a true talent.
For the past six months, Skylar has performed at many events such as Wisconsin Badger basketball and hockey games. Most recently she's sang at the Wisconsin Air Show doing a 9/11 tribute, Green Bay High School sporting events and was in Dallas, TX and performed at a Christmas show at the Six Flags Amusement Park.
She recorded a song for "Wheelchairs for Kids" that can be found on their website. The organization is based out of Tarpon Springs, Florida and more information can be found at www.wheelchairs4kids.org. Skylar also has a website and all of her contact information can be found at www.skylarstar.com.
