SPRING BREAKOUT GAME

PREGAME

With nine former Shuckers on the Brewers’ Spring Breakout roster against the Cincinnati Reds top prospects, two were slotted into the starting lineup: Cooper Pratt and Jacob Misiorowski.

Misiorowski, who made 24 starts over two seasons with the Shuckers, struck out 105 with a 3.50 ERA across 79.2 innings with Biloxi in 2024. He enters 2025 as the Brewers’ top pitching prospect by MLB Pipeline and Baseball America.

Pratt, who has made headlines throughout Spring Training, is one of four Brewers prospects in the Baseball America Top 100. Pratt split 2024 between Single-A Carolina, High-A Wisconsin and Double-A Biloxi. Pratt went 3-for-8 with a home run in two games with the Shuckers during the Southern League Division Series against the Montgomery Biscuits.

Potential 2025 Shuckers Luis Lara, Luke Adams, Yophery Rodriguez and Blake Burke also started.

Of the eight pitchers used by the Brewers, five were members of the Shuckers in 2024. Jacob Misiorowski got the start and struck out four over 1.2 innings. Blake Holub, who held an ERA below 0.50 in 2024, struck out the only batter he faced in relief. Will Childers and Craig Yoho both held the Reds scoreless in their appearance. Yoho, who spoke to MLB Network during the telecast, retired the side in order, ending the inning with a backdoor slider to retire Reds prospect Carlos Jorge. Brett Wichrowski also appeared and struck out two over 2.0 innings.

At the plate, Brock Wilken went 1-for-1 with a single into left and a walk. Dylan O’Rae finished the day with a single, RBI and a stolen base.

Other notable performances included three strikeouts over 2.0 innings for former Mississippi State Bulldog Tyson Hardin and a home run from Jose Anderson. Anderson, who spent last year in the Dominican Summer League, is set to make the jump stateside in 2025. Matt Wood also tripled and drove in two in the fifth inning.
