BILOXI, MS – The Biloxi Shuckers have announced fan safety enhancements at Keesler Federal Park for the 2025 season, with the home slate set to begin on Tuesday, April 8 at 6:05 p.m. The ballpark netting at Keesler Federal Park will be extended down the foul lines in left and right field, protecting fans from foul balls, flying bats and errant throws, as mandated for all 119 ballparks in Minor League Baseball for 2025.

“Not only do we want to make sure our fans have a great experience at our ballpark, but we want to make sure they’re safe and protected at all times,” Shuckers General Manager Hunter Reed said. “It's our goal to limit the impact on sight lines and fan interactions, but it is in place to ensure all are protected at our games.”

The enhanced safety protocols will align the Shuckers with all 30 teams in Major League Baseball, including Truist Park in Atlanta. Blue Wahoos Stadium and Trustmark Park, home of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and the former home of the Mississippi Braves, both previously installed extended netting for fan safety. Autographs will still be available next to each dugout for all Shuckers games. Fans can request autographs until 15 minutes before first pitch for both Shuckers and visiting players.

The Shuckers have also announced the addition of a new batting cage to be used on the home side in compliance with Minor League Baseball standards to be used on the home side. Previous on-field renovations include a new infield playing surface and grass which was installed prior to the 2024 season.
