BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – Bill Clark, a Guinness World Record holder, will attempt to break the record for the most decks of cards ripped in half in 60 seconds at Mirabito Stadium on Friday, July 3, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets) announced on Thursday.

The attempt will take place after the Rumble Ponies’ game against the Chesapeake Baysox (Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles), before the Bing, Bang, Boom edition of the Miller Auto Team Fireworks Series. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. The current World Record for the most decks of cards ripped in half in 60 seconds is 26 decks.

Clark is a current Guinness World Record holder and World Champion powerlifter. He currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most license plates torn in half in 30 seconds, and the most decks of cards ripped in half in 30 seconds.

Clark will be in the F.W. Webb Jumper Zone at Mirabito Stadium on Friday, July 3, before the game from 6-6:30 p.m., interacting with fans and tearing license plates and decks of cards to warm up for his World Record attempt.

During the game on July 3, Clark will be featured on the videoboard for promotions in the second inning and fifth inning.
