BINGHAMTON, NY – The Binghamton Rumble Ponies, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Mets, are proud to announce an extension of another five years to the naming rights agreement with Mirabito. This exciting extension ensures the crown jewel ballpark of downtown Binghamton continues to be called Mirabito Stadium.
Originally built in 1992, the ballpark has gone through a few name changes from Binghamton Municipal Stadium, NYSEG Stadium, and most recently Mirabito Stadium which took effect in May of 2021. The new five year agreement also continues in partnership with Visions Federal Credit Union, who is the title sponsor of the Starting Gate Box Office at Mirabito Stadium.
"The Rumble Ponies are extremely excited to continue our partnership with Mirabito Energy Group. As two iconic Southern Tier organizations, the Ponies and Mirabito have strong ties in the region, and we are truly committed to growing strong meaningful connections in the community. We look forward to the next five years of the partnership, and we thank Mirabito Energy for their ongoing commitment to our club, members, fans, and the wider Binghamton area," said General Manager, Richard Tylicki.
The new five year agreement is highlighted with elements that the community can look forward to such as a Binghamton Mets jersey giveaway (September 5th) and a travel mug giveaway (date to be determined) as well as a new community initiative, The Mirabito Cares Corner. Every home game during the 2026 season local non-profits can apply for the opportunity to sit in the Mirabito Cares Corner. If selected, the non-profit will receive up to 50 complimentary tickets to attend the game.
“Mirabito Stadium has become such a special place for our community — where families, friends, and neighbors come together to make memories. We’re honored to continue this partnership and proud to keep supporting the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and everything this ballpark represents,” said Senior Director of Marketing for Mirabito, Marrisa Sweeney.
The new Naming Rights Agreement between Mirabito Energy Products and Visions Federal Credit Union runs through the duration of the Major League Baseball’s Professional Development agreement with the New York Mets through 2030. In addition to Mirabito and Visions commitment to the stadium, the City of Binghamton remains a proud partner with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Over the past few seasons Mayor Kraham has continued to go to bat to ensure baseball stays in the Southern Tier with investments into the ballpark to include a new drainage system, fitness center, video scoreboard, and renovations to both clubhouses.
