Fall Fan Fest to be Held Saturday, October 29

Free event allows fans to take batting practice, select seats for 2017

DURHAM, NC - The Durham Bulls will host their 2016 Fall Fan Fest presented by Delta on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fans will be able to take batting practice and play catch on the field at the free event, and all fans in attendance will be entered to win a $500 credit from Delta. Additionally, the Ballpark Corner Store will be having an end-of-season blowout sale.

The winner of the $500 Delta credit will be chosen at random based on a raffle drawing. Each attendee at Fan Fest will be given a raffle ticket upon entrance, and fans who donate at least three canned food items will be given an additional three tickets. Fans who donate five or more canned food items will receive five extra tickets, while anyone who purchases a mini plan that day will receive 20 additional tickets. All canned food items will be collected for Hurricane Matthew victims, and will be donated to the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina.

*The raffle winner will be announced at 1 p.m., and fans MUST be present to win.

In an effort to increase fan safety, two separate batting practices will be held at this year's event. All attendees age 14 and older wishing to hit on the field will be able to do so from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., while all fans 13 and under wishing to take batting practice may do so from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Fans will not be allowed in the outfield until 12 p.m., at which point catch on the field will commence.

The Ballpark Corner Store, which will open at 10 a.m., will be hosting a yard sale with select merchandise marked down as much as 50 percent, while select fitted hats will be marked down as low as $10. Bulls ticket representatives will also be available to showcase available season ticket locations and provide tours of the exclusive PNC Triangle Club.

At 11:30 a.m., all fans dressed in costume are encouraged to visit Jakie's Landing, where Wool E. Bull will be selecting his favorite costumes. Minor League Baseball's best mascot will be distributing candy to all fans dressed up, while also handing out autographed memorabilia to his favorite outfits.
