Field, Peterson, Marjama Go Deep Late To Even Series

Columbus, OH --- Brent Honeywell Jr. spun six scoreless innings, while Durham hit three home runs to power the Bulls past the Columbus Clippers 11-0 on Wednesday night at Huntington Park.
Honeywell (W, 6-5) fanned seven against no walks to earn his third consecutive victory. Johnny Field connected for a solo homer in the sixth, Shane Peterson drove a two-run home run n the seventh, with Mike Marjama launching a pinch-hit, three-run shot in the eighth.
Durham (40-24) took a 4-0 lead in the fourth against Michael Peoples (L, 1-4). Peterson singled with one out, then advanced to second on Curt Casali's single to center. Casey Gillaspie then drilled a single off the heel of Peoples to load the bases. Kean Wong followed with a rule-book double landing on the left field warning track that hopped over the wall to give the Bulls a 2-0 lead. Three pitches into Field's at bat, Peoples left the game. Cole Sulser entered the game in relief, and allowed a wild pitch to score a run and an RBI-single to Wilson Ramos for a 4-0 advantage over the Clippers (31-33).
Brad Boxberger fanned the side in his first rehab appearance with the Bulls in the seventh. Ryne Stanek and Adam Kolarek combined for the final two innings to close out the victory.
Durham's win came one night after a 12-walk performance by its pitching staff. On Wednesday, four Bulls pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts with no walks.
Gillaspie finished 2-3 with three runs scored. Peterson went 3-5, while Wong had two hits and three RBI.
The Bulls' six-game lead was maintained over second place Gwinnett, which rallied from 4-1 down in the ninth to win at Toledo.
The Bulls and Clippers play for the final time in 2017 on Thursday night. Ryan Yarbrough (5-3, 4.07) starts against Adam Plutko (4-7, 6.24) at 7:05 PM ET.
