Lefty Earns 9th Win; Left Fielder Matches Career-High With 4 Hits

Norfolk, VA --- Ryan Yarbrough pitched seven scoreless innings to lead the Durham Bulls to a 4-0 win over the Norfolk Tides on Saturday night at Harbor Park.
Yarbrough (W, 9-4) fanned seven and walked one to become the fifth International League pitcher to reach the nine win threshhold. Diego Castillo and Andrew Kittredge combined for the final two spotless innings.
Durham is now tied for the league lead with 13 shutouts, six of which have occurred in its last 11 wins since June 26th.
Jake Bauers collected four hits, tying a career-high, with two singles and a pair of doubles. Bauers bid for a fifth hit was denied on a running catch near the right-centerfield wall by Logan Schafer in the ninth inning.
The Bulls (57-35) took a 3-0 lead against Tyler Wilson (L, 2-6) with three runs in the third. A Willy Adames grounder scored Johnny Field for a 1-0 lead. Later in the inning, Patrick Leonard walked ahead of a two-run homer by Mike Marjama.
In the fifth, Bauers scored on a single to right from Leonard.
The Bulls wrap up their four-game set in Norfolk on Sunday at 4:05 PM ET with Hunter Wood (3-1, 6.57) opposing Gabriel Ynoa (1-8, 7.64).
