INF Danny Mendick was recalled by Chicago White Sox today to serve as 27th player for tonight’s “Field of Dreams” game against the New York Yankees in Dyersville, Iowa. In nine games with the Knights this season, Mendick hit .265 (9-for-34) with seven runs scored, one double, one home run, two RBIs and one stolen base. In 58 games this season with the White Sox, Mendick is hitting .195 (25-for-128) with 13 runs scored, three doubles, two home runs and 19 RBIs.
