RHP Jimmy Lambert (0-0, 7.71 ERA) was recalled to the Chicago White Sox today to serve as the team’s 27th man for their doubleheader at Cleveland. Lambert, 26, made his Triple-A debut with the Knights on May 4th, the team’s season opener. He’s made five starts with the Knights this season and has accumulated 23 strikeouts over 11.2 innings pitched. His last start came on May 26 at Norfolk (3.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 SO).
Lambert is expected to get the start for the White Sox in game two of Monday's twin bill.
Last season, Lambert made two appearances for the Chicago White Sox and did not allow a run in two innings of work. He entered the 2021 season ranked as the number 13 prospect in Chicago’s system by Baseball America.
