(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- Center fielder Jacob May roped a game-winning single in the bottom of the 11th inning to lead the Charlotte Knights to a 6-5 win over the Pawtucket Red Sox on Tuesday night at BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte. RHP Carson Fulmer (4-5, 5.69) pitched the final two innings for the Knights to earn the win.

In the bottom of the 11th inning , the Knights mounted a rally. With Mason Robbins on second base and two outs, second baseman Eddy Alvarez drew a walk, which set things up for May, who played the hero.

With two runners now on base and two outs in the 11th, May drove a ball into deep center field, which plated Robbins for the win. It was May's second hit of the game and 18th over his current 10-game hitting streak. He's hitting .333 during the month of July and has 13 hits over his last six games.

Left fielder Eloy Jiménez launched his third home run of the season with the Knights in the fifth inning of Tuesday's game.

LHP Jordan Guerrero started for the Knights and allowed three runs on eight hits over six innings of work in his fourth career Triple-A start. Relievers Aaron Bummer (0.2 IP) and Ian Hamilton (1.0 IP) were sharp in their appearances out of the bullpen on Tuesday.

The Knights welcomed their three-millionth fan through the gates on Tuesday night. Amy Benfield of Charlotte took home a special prize pack as the team's three-millionth fan. The Knights welcomed their three-millionth fan in their 325th opening in BB&T Ballpark history.

Pre-game radio coverage of Wednesday's 7:04 p.m. game is set for 6:50 p.m. on 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte. The "Voice of the Charlotte Knights" Matt Swierad and Mike Pacheco will have the call for all of the action. Gates are set to open at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Ellis Burks, a member of the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame, will meet fans and sign autographs.
