(DURHAM, NC) - Chicago White Sox right-handed pitcher Miguel Gonzalez , who is currently on the club's 10-day disabled list with A/C joint inflammation in his right shoulder, will begin a rehab assignment with the Charlotte Knights tonight in Durham, NC. Gonzalez, 33, will get the start for the Knights

(DURHAM, NC) - Chicago White Sox right-handed pitcher Miguel Gonzalez , who is currently on the club's 10-day disabled list with A/C joint inflammation in his right shoulder, will begin a rehab assignment with the Charlotte Knights tonight in Durham, NC. Gonzalez, 33, will get the start for the Knights against the Durham Bulls from the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. First pitch is on tap for 7:05 p.m. tonight.

Originally signed by the White Sox as a free agent on April 7, 2016, Gonzalez has appeared in 37 games with the team over parts of two seasons (2016-17). He began the 2016 campaign with the Knights and posted a 1-0 record with a 4.64 ERA in five starts (21.1 innings pitched). He went on to make 24 appearances with the White Sox last season (23 starts) and posted a 5-8 record with a 3.73 ERA (135.0 innings pitched).

This season, the Guadalajara, MX native has compiled a 4-8 record with a 5.15 ERA in 13 games (all starts) with the White Sox (78.2 innings pitched).
