Spectrum Field to Host 70 FSL Home Openings

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Clearwater Threshers, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, have announced their 2018 Florida State League game schedule. The summer slate features 70 home openings at Spectrum Field.  

Opening Night at Spectrum Field for the Threshers in Clearwater is on Thursday, April 5, with the Dunedin Blue Jays and the last regular-season home game is on Sunday, August 26, with the Charlotte Stone Crabs. The FSL All Star Game Weekend will be hosted by the Tampa Tarpons June 15-17.

Spectrum Field is again the home of The American Athletic Conference post-season baseball tournament May 22-27 with local teams from USF and UCF participating.

Favorites like Dollar Tuesdays by Regions Bank, Taps and Tacos Thursdays by Tijuana Flats, and Saturday fireworks return in 2018 along with the annual July 3 Independence Day fireworks celebration. Dates for community events Pitch for Pink, Prostate Cancer Awareness Night, Veterans and Military Appreciation Night, and Bark at the Ballpark will be included in an upcoming full promo calendar release.

The Threshers set their own single-season record and had the second-highest all-time FSL attendance with 200,201 during the 2017 season over 67 openings.
