Dunedin, FL – Owen Carapellotti homered twice as the Dunedin Blue Jays won their fourth straight, taking down the Tampa Tarpons 10-1 on Wednesday night at TD Ballpark in game two of a six-game set.
Dunedin is now four games behind Tampa for first place in the FSL West with 24 games remaining.
Over Dunedin’s four-game winning streak, Blue Jays pitchers have allowed just four runs in 34 innings (1.06 ERA) with 34 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .132 batting average.
Since July 30, every Dunedin win has featured three or fewer runs allowed, including three shutouts. Over their seven wins in that span, Blue Jays pitchers have posted a 0.92 ERA and 0.83 WHIP.
