Bulls Power Past Syracuse, 5-1

Durham Hits 3 More HR; Take 6th Straight Series

Syracuse, NY -- One day after hitting five home runs, the Durham Bulls stroked three more on Sunday to defeat the Syracuse Chiefs 5-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Mikie Mahtook hit a two-run shot in the first inning, followed by solo shots by Allan Dykstra in the second and JP Arencibia in the seventh to lead Durham (19-12) to their sixth consecutive series victory.

Enny Romero (W, 1-0) pitched five scoreless innings in his first AAA start of the season to earn the win for the Bulls. Romero permitted three hits and one walk while striking out four.

Jhan Marinez pitched 3 1/3 innings in long relief before giving way to Jim Miller, who recorded the final two outs of the game.

The Bulls continue their six-game road trip Monday night at 6:05 PM ET in Buffalo. Dylan Floro will make the start for Durham.
