In an effort to help defray the rising costs of higher education, the Durham Bulls and Couch Oil Company are proud to announce the results of the 2019 Couch Oil Cares Scholarship program. During a presentation at the DBAP on August 8, $1,000 scholarships were awarded to six deserving high school seniors. This year's recipients are:
Elodie Deneassembaye - Chapel Hill High / Queens University of Charlotte
Jillian Janssen - Cary Academy / UNC-Chapel Hill
Olivia King - Durham School of the Arts / UNC-Chapel Hill
Frankie Reed - Fuquay Varina High / Cornell University
Maggie Shealy - East Chapel Hill High / Brandeis University
Rob Treadway - Cardinal Gibbons High / Wake Forest University
"Couch Oil Company is pleased to be a sponsoring partner with the Durham Bulls this season," said Stephen Couch, President of Couch Oil Company. "To make this endeavor complete, we offer the Couch Oil Cares Scholarship to benefit families in our community."
Couch Oil Company, a family owned and operated Durham-based company, specializes in propane, gasoline, premium diesel, lubricants and tank cleaning.
The Bulls share in Couch Oil Company's vision to aid those with aspirations of attending college.
