The Durham Bulls will host Stranger Things Night on Thursday, July 11 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, presented by Chiesi. That evening when the team takes on the Norfolk Tides (Mouth Breathers), the players will wear specially-designed uniforms while the ballpark will be full of references and promotions based on the popular Netflix sci-fi series.

The show, which takes place in the fictional Hawkins, Ind., was created by Durham natives and Jordan High School alumni The Duffer Brothers. Throughout the show's first two seasons there have been numerous references to Durham locales, including Jordan Lake, the Eno River and Cornwallis Rd.

The team's uniforms for the evening are based off the fan-favorite character Eleven, specifically her overalled, flannel outfit. The team's hat for the night will also feature a Waffle-inspired brim, and - appropriately - local food truck Big C Waffles will be servings its delicacies all evening long, while stadium concession stands will be serving Chicken and Waffles throughout the game.

Throughout the evening the team plans on highlighting some of the show's largest themes, including the Upside Down, waffles, Christmas lights and Demogorgons. Additionally, fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character or wear their favorite 80's garb. The contest will also begin at 7:11 p.m., and feature the Bulls' Afforda-BULL Eats menu, where fans can purchase $2 hot dogs, select $5 beer and other discounted food items.

JERSEY AUCTION

Game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Children's Flight of Hope. All jerseys will be signed by the players who wore them.

Fans can bid on jerseys from anywhere in the world from their computer or mobile device, and can see a list of all available uniforms here. The acution will remain open until 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 11. All winners who attend the game should report to the stadium's front lobby at the conclusion of the game to receive their autographed, game-worn jersey, and all fans who are not in attendance can receive their jersey in the mail in the coming weeks. Fans not in attendance can pay for shipping via the auction site, or can contact Nico Tennant at ntennant@durhambulls.com with any questions. Fans who would like to donate but are not interested in owning a game-worn jersey can make a donation via the auction site as well.
