Chihuahuas Open Home Slate with Six Games Packed with Promotions

The opening homestand begins Tuesday, April 7, and runs through Sunday, April 12, and features a full lineup of promotions, giveaways, and fan-favorite theme nights to kick off the season.

EL PASO, TexasApril 3, 2026 – The Chihuahuas will open the 2026 home season with a six-game series against the Albuquerque Isotopes, the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, beginning Tuesday, April 7, at Southwest University Park. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m. The opening homestand runs through Sunday, April 12, and features a full lineup of promotions, giveaways, and fan-favorite theme nights to kick off the season.

New this season, fans can enjoy added value at the ballpark with the introduction of Bargain Bites at Chico’s Eats and Treats, located behind Section 112. Featuring a selection of fan-favorite menu items priced at $5 or less, Bargain Bites offers an affordable way to enjoy classic ballpark flavors without missing a moment of the action.

Opening Day on April 7, presented by Charbroil, will include a pregame Rally Towel giveaway and a postgame Magnet Schedule giveaway presented by Southwest University. The celebration continues with a midweek matinee on Wednesday, April 8, with a 12:05 p.m. first pitch. Seasoned fans can enjoy Mature Munchies presented by AARP, where guests ages 50 and older receive a $1 popcorn voucher, and those 60 and older receive a free hot dog meal.

On Thursday, April 9, the Chihuahuas will host Autism and Sensory Awareness Night at 6:35 p.m., presented by GOZO’s Ice Cream, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all fans.

The weekend begins Friday, April 10, with Fetch the Fun Friday presented by Townsquare Media at 6:35 p.m., highlighted by Bootmakers Night presented by Lucchese. Fans can enjoy a specialty Southern Rocker Hat™ giveaway as part of the evening’s festivities.

Saturday, April 11, features COPA Night, celebrating the culture and traditions of the Borderplex region with the first of six Matachines Nights of the season, followed by the first Fireworks Spectacular.

The homestand concludes Sunday, April 12, with a 12:05 p.m. first pitch for Kids Day. The game will also celebrate Chico’s Birthday alongside Girl Scout Night and Bark at the Park, presented by GECU, with young fans (12 and under) receiving a Chico Birthday Shirt giveaway upon entry.
