El Paso Chihuahuas starting pitcher Anderson Espinoza held the Sugar Land Space Cowboys to just two runs and two hits through six innings, but a five-run seventh inning led the Space Cowboys to a 7-1 win at Constellation Filed Tuesday evening. Sugar Land won the first game of the final six-game series of the 2023 regular season.

Espinoza finished with three earned runs (four total) allowed in 6.0 innings, surrendering three hits, he walked two and struck out three. Infielder Carlos Luis doubled home Taylor Kohlwey in the second inning for El Paso’s only run, and his only hit of the game. The plate appearance for Luis was his first for the Chihuahuas, leading to his first career Triple-A hit and RBI. Kohlwey finished 2-for-4 with two hits and one stolen base. The Chihuahuas stole two bases to extend their season total to 202, second-most in the Pacific Coast League.
