Chihuahuas Host Houston Astros Affiliate Sugar Land in Six-Game Series

EL PASO – June 16, 2021 –The El Paso Chihuahuas will take on the Sugar Land Skeeters, the Houston Astros affiliate, for the first time in history in a 6-game series beginning on Thursday, June 17 through Tuesday, June 22. Tickets for the series are going fast!
The series is highlighted by Teacher Appreciation Night, Wands & Wizards Night, Juneteenth Celebration, and a Father’s Day Celebration to name a few.
The first jersey auction of the 2021 season will take place on Friday, June 19, as the Chihuahuas and Skeeters will wear Wands & Wizards-themed jerseys in a home and away series. The Chihuahuas will auction off the jerseys beginning Wednesday, June 16 and concludes at the last out of the 7th inning during Friday’s game.
The Wands & Wizards-themed night also features food and beverage options including Butter Beer, Exploding Mango Wands, Muggle Sausage, Deadly Hollows Beer, and Broomstick Turkey Legs. A scavenger hunt for prizes will take place and as well as a sorting hat with buttons to identify the selected dorm available at the Promotions Booth behind Section 112.
The series kicks off with Teacher Appreciation Night and Thrifty Thursday presented by Speaking Rock Entertainment Center. The Chihuahuas will name a Teacher of the Year presented by Great American Steakhouse and teachers can also be entered to win several prizes throughout the night.
Following Friday’s Wands & Wizards Night is Saturday’s Juneteenth Celebration and Fireworks Spectacular, commemorating the anniversary of the proclamation of freedom from slavery in the U.S. As part of the celebration, the Chihuahuas are honoring a Black Community Hero of the Borderland with postgame fireworks show choreographed to music created by the El Paso Young Black Leaders.
Father’s Day is Sunday with pregame catch on the field, Father’s Eat Free, enter-to-win prizes, and ends with dad’s running the bases postgame.
The Pepsi Family Pack is back! Every Monday home game, the family pack (minimum of four tickets) can be purchased that includes one each FREE of hot dog, 24oz Pepsi soft drink, a small popcorn.
Monday’s game also features Military Monday presented by Prudential, Seniors Eat Free presented by Conviva Care Center and the series concludes with Taco Tues & Brews presented by Isabella Foods.

· Purchase must be made on the platform. No cash or credit will be accepted as payment outside of the bid platform.
· Winners of the Chihuahuas jersey will not receive it until the conclusion of the Chihuahuas road game at Sugar Land on 7/31.
· There is no guarantee that the player wearing the jersey on 6/18 will be the same player wearing it on 7/31.
· The jerseys will be autographed by the player who wears it on 7/31.
· If you win a jersey on 6/18 that ultimately is not worn on 7/31 due to team personnel changes, we will have another player sign it.
· Due to MLB's COVID Protocols, fans will not get to meet the player on the field after the game.
