Chihuahuas starter Stephen Kolek allowed two runs in five innings Friday and has allowed only two runs in 10 innings in home games this year. Ron Marinaccio allowed only a single in two shutout relief innings and picked up his first win of the season. El Paso first baseman Trenton Brooks went 1-for-4 with a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the fifth inning. It was his second straight game with a home run and his 12th straight game with at least one hit. Brooks now has five home runs, which is tied for the second-highest total in the Pacific Coast League. Catcher Luis Campusano also homered for El Paso.

Chihuahuas second baseman Eguy Rosario reached base three times, going 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs. El Paso third base coach Matt Adams was ejected in the third inning for arguing a call at second base, which was the Chihuahuas’ first ejection of the season.
