Giveaways, SpongeBob Square Pants, and Fireworks Highlight Homestand

EL PASO – June 8, 2022 – Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? It's not Chico! It's SpongeBob Square Pants! The Chihuahuas are hosting Nickelodeon Night when they take on the Albuquerque Isotopes in a three-game series Friday, June 10 through Sunday, June 12 followed by Las Vegas June 14-19.

The 9-game homestand kicks off with a Chihuahuas Beach Towel giveaway presented by Sarah Farms. Nickelodeon Night is Saturday with specialty jerseys featuring the bodice of SpongeBob Square Pants being auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the El Paso Center for Children. As part of the evening, SpongeBob, himself, and his best friend Patrick Star, will be available for photo opportunities, and the Team Shop will feature Nickelodeon merchandise. The night wraps up with a Fireworks Spectacular.

The series concludes Sunday with Kids Day with an off day Monday when the Chihuahuas take on the Oakland A's affiliate, Las Vegas on Tuesday. Wednesday is Wine & 9 presented by Trinchero Family Estates followed by $2 specials.

Friday Features a t-shirt giveaway for the first 1,500 guests in attendance with paid admission followed by a Fireworks Spectacular on Saturday. Saturday also features the third night of the Whataburger Donation Drive for the Child Crisis Center of El Paso. Fans who donate a non-perishable item or make a monetary donation will receive a free Whataburger coupon.

The Chihuahuas concludes the homestand with a Father's Day Celebration & Juneteenth.

The El Paso Chihuahuas will wear SpongeBob Square Pants specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the El Paso Center for Children. SpongeBob Square Pants and his best friend Patrick Star are scheduled to appear. A limited number of merchandise will be available for purchase at the Chihuahuas Team Shop.
