C. Wolf Voted Top Mascot in the Eastern League
The SeaWolves are proud to announce that Erie's favorite mascot, C. Wolf, has been voted the top mascot in the Eastern League in Minor League Baseball's Mascot Mania contest.
"We would like to thank the fans for choosing C. Wolf as the Eastern League's #1 mascot," said SeaWolves team president Greg Coleman. "C. Wolf is a true character and he loves to entertain and make fans smile. It's rewarding to see the fans recognize his efforts."
C. Wolf won a hard-fought battle against 11 other Eastern League mascots. He topped a cast of entertaining characters like the Crazy Hot Dog Vendor (Reading Fightin Phils), Steamer (Altoona Curve), Nutzy (Richmond Flying Squirrels), Boomer (Trenton Thunder) and Slugger the Sea Dog (Portland Sea Dogs). He is the only mascot from Pennsylvania to advance to the Championship Round and the only mascot of a Detroit Tigers affiliate to make the cut.
Voting to determine Minor League Baseball's favorite mascot is now underway. Fans can vote at milb.com/mascotmania or on Twitter. Twitter voters must follow @MiLB; votes for C. Wolf must include #MascotMania and either #VoteCWolf or @erie_seawolves to be counted. The championship round features all 14 league champions and ends on August 8.
When asked about being recognized as the top mascot in the Eastern League, C. Wolf said, "OOOOoooowwwwwww" and gave a 'thumbs up' to the fans of Erie.
"We are excited and proud that the Eastern League's top mascot is right here in Erie, PA," replied Coleman. "The work isn't done yet though. We hope fans will continue to support C. Wolf in his quest to be the best mascot in Minor League Baseball."
