SeaWolves Announce 25 Seasons Celebration Initiatives

The SeaWolves announce today that the team has partnered with UPMC to be the presenting sponsor of the team's 25 Seasons Celebration.The season-long festivities includes updating the franchise's All-Time Team. Since 1995, SeaWolves fans have seen some of the top prospects of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Anaheim Angels and Detroit Tigers.

The season-long festivities includes updating the franchise's All-Time Team. Since 1995, SeaWolves fans have seen some of the top prospects of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Anaheim Angels and Detroit Tigers. Erie's hometown team is asking fans to help select the top players in franchise history. From today through Opening Night, fans can vote at https://www.milb.com/erie/forms/seawolves-25-seasons-team for their favorite SeaWolves players. Fans will select 25 players and one manager, with the top vote-getters to be featured in a team card set giveaway to the first 1,000 fans presented by UPMC Hamot on Saturday, July 27.
Saturday, July 27 also will be the SeaWolves' 25 Seasons Celebration game with post-game fireworks presented by UPMC Health Plan. Select SeaWolves players from past seasons will be welcomed back to UPMC Park and the team will honor long-time team supporters, season ticket members and team partners.
The SeaWolves will host three retro replica jersey giveaway nights to honor three distinct eras in team history. On Friday, May 24, the first 1,000 fans will receive Tigers-era home jersey which was worn from 2001-2010 featuring orange and black team marks with black pinstripes thanks to UPMC Hamot. On Friday, July 12, the first 1,000 fans will receive an Angels-era home jersey which was worn during the 1999-2000 seasons, featuring a red and navy blue script and block numbers courtesy of UPMC Health Plan. On Friday, August 16, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Pirates-era throwback home jersey featuring the original team script across the front with powder blue pinstripes presented by UPMC. Each replica jersey will also feature the SeaWolves' 25 Seasons commemorative logo on its sleeve in the colors of each respective era.
Additionally, the team will wear special mash-up jerseys, which fuse elements from the team's original 1995 uniforms and its current set, during each Thursday home game in 2019. The powder blue jerseys will feature the team's original SeaWolves wordmark in silver, accompanied by silver numbers on the back, in recognition of the team's "silver" season. On all Throwback Thursday games, the team will surprise fans by offering a specially priced concession or merchandise item at 1995 prices.
In conjunction with today's release, fans can take advantage of special 2-for-$25 hat and T-shirt combo packs in the online Team Store on SeaWolves.com. All season long, fans are encouraged to share their favorite photos and memories by tagging the SeaWolves on social media using the hashtag #SeaWolves25.
