SeaWolves Announce Formation of New Food & Beverage Company

The Erie SeaWolves, Double-A Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, announce today that team ownership has formed a new food and beverage company to head all concessions and hospitality services at UPMC Park.
Happy Howler, LLC will be the new concessionaire of UPMC Park beginning in 2019. The company will be responsible for delivering a high-quality food and beverage experience for the over 250,000 patrons attending SeaWolves games and special events annually at UPMC Park.
Jeff Burgess has been named the Director of Food and Beverage and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of concessions and hospitality service at UPMC Park. Burgess joins the company with over 35 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. Most recently, Burgess was Director of Operations for the Ninety-Nine Restaurant group, overseeing restaurants in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.
Mike Pfeil has been named Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. Pfeil joins the company with over 11 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. Pfeil has worked with numerous well-known chefs and restauranteurs including Michael White, Ahmass Fakahany, Philippe Massoud, Steve Hansen and David Burke. He was the General Manager for two Burke properties before relocating to Pennsylvania.
The new company is currently seeking employees to fill a variety of game day food and beverage roles. Positions include servers, cashiers, wait staff, warehouse staff, food preparers and runners. Interested individuals can attend the SeaWolves Job Expo on February 23 at the Erie Insurance Arena from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Prospective employees will fill out applications and interview on the spot.
