The Erie SeaWolves shut out the Bowie Baysox 11-0 thanks to a four-RBI effort from Andre Lipcius on Tuesday at UPMC Park.

Lipcius began the night with a one-out single off Garrett Stallings in the opening frame. Kerry Carpenter then cranked his 13th double of the season to plate Lipcius.

Erie knocked out Stallings in the second with a six-run inning. The SeaWolves began the frame with a leadoff single from Andrew Navigato and a double from Gage Workman. Wenceel Perez tapped a grounder to first and Navigato slid in before the tag at the plate to give Erie a 2-0. Lipcius continued to produce from the two-hole with a three-run jack. It was his sixth homer of the season.

Two batters later, Quincy Nieporte crushed a solo homer over the batter’s eye. It was his 16th of the year. Dane Myers immediately followed with a double and was brought in by a Dillon Dingler RBI single to make it a 7-0 ballgame.

Erie added a run in the fifth. Workman collected his second hit of the day with a two-out single. Perez laced one to right field and motored to third with an RBI triple. The three-bagger was his first in Double-A as the SeaWolves pulled ahead, 8-0.

Carpenter mashed another double to begin the sixth against Adam Stauffer. Carpenter advanced to third after Nieporte reached on an error. Stauffer misfired a wild pitch to the backstop, which allowed Carpenter to cross the plate and put Erie on top, 9-0.

Erie tacked on two runs in the seventh. Workman led off the frame with a walk. Perez then cashed in on his second triple of the day to bring in Workman. Lipcius lifted a sac fly to score Perez to make it an 11-0 game. Lipcius joined Dane Myers, Dylan Rosa, Carpenter, Workman, and Nieporte as the only players with a four-RBI game for Erie this season.

Markus Solbach (1-4) earned his first win with the SeaWolves. The right-hander tossed his second straight quality start. Solbach hurled six shutout frames, yielding four hits, and no walks while striking out six batters.

Nick Kuzia, Joe Navilhon, and Dario Gardea each fired a shutout frame to extend the bullpen’s scoreless streak to 15.1 innings.

Garrett Stalling (2-6) received the loss. He allowed seven runs in 1.1 innings.
