Frogs Outhit Canadians, Fall 6-3 Wednesday

August 5, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: Although they outhit their opposition, the Everett AquaSox fell to the Vancouver Canadians 6-3 at Everett Memorial Stadium on Wednesday night in front of 1,649 fans.
Matthew Ellis got the AquaSox on the board during the bottom of the third inning, knocking an RBI single following three scoreless innings dealt by starting pitcher Chase Centala. The score did not hold long, though, as the Canadians rallied for four runs in the top of the fourth inning to jump ahead by three runs. Gable Mitchell knocked an RBI double for Vancouver’s first run, Edward Duran hit a single that scored two runs, and Jean Joseph brought home the fourth run on a sacrifice fly to round out the scoring.
Vancouver extended their lead during the top of the fifth, plating two more runs to take a five-run lead. Jake Casel hit an RBI double to deep center field after Ty Southisene singled, and Ryan Sprock hit into an RBI fielder’s choice to set the Canadians ahead 6-1. Their scoring for the night concluded after Sprock’s swing as Everett’s Jose Geraldo struck out four in two innings of scoreless work and Sam Whiting added one shutout frame.
Everett brought home their second run in the bottom of the sixth courtesy of Carter Dorighi, who lined an opposite-field RBI single to score Axel Sanchez. Luis Suisbel added the Frogs’ third and final run two frames later, demolishing a solo home run for his 13th long ball of the season. Suisbel’s blast landed in the Paine Field Home Run Porch in right field, traveling 385 feet while being hit at an exit velocity of 100 MPH.

Closing out the game for the Canadians was right-hander Jack Eshleman, who held the AquaSox out of the scoring column during the bottom of the ninth to secure his team’s first victory of the six-game Northwest League series.
