The Everett AquaSox are proud to be one of three teams owned by 7th Inning Stretch, a Stockton, California-based baseball ownership group headed by Tom Volpe. 7th Inning Stretch was founded in 1999 when Volpe purchased the Visalia Oaks. The group moved its headquarters to Stockton when Volpe acquired the Stockton Ports in 2002. Pat Filippone joined as the Ports' President and General Manager in July 2006 after serving as the CEO of the Fresno Grizzlies.
In November of 2006, 7th Inning Stretch purchased the Delmarva Shorebirds. The Shorebirds are based out of Salisbury, Maryland and play in the South Atlantic League.
In November 2008, your Everett AquaSox were welcomed to the 7th Inning Stretch family.
