Jimenez Homers Twice In One-Run Frogs Loss

August 19, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: Even though outfielder Carlos Jimenez drilled two home runs, the Everett AquaSox fell to the Tri-City Dust Devils 4-3 at Gesa Stadium on Wednesday night in front of 1,306 fans.
A three-run sixth inning proved to be the difference-maker in favor of Tri-City, setting the Dust Devils ahead for good. Hayden Alvarez brought home his team’s first run during the bottom of the third, and Jonny McGill drew a bases-loaded walk to spark the three-run rally later in the game. Tying the score was Peter Burns, who hit an RBI single, and delivering the go-ahead swing was Kevyn Castillo, who hit a sacrifice fly to center field.
Jimenez was the star of the show for the AquaSox offense, smashing two solo home runs throughout the game to raise his home run total in 2026 to 18. With the pair of long balls, he now has the second-most homers among all active AquaSox hitters, trailing only Northwest League home run leader Brandon Eike. Bringing home the other Everett run was Korbyn Dickerson, who hit an RBI single to score Luke Stevenson.

From the mound, AquaSox left-hander Caleb Franzen threw 1.2 innings, allowing zero runs while striking out three and walking none. Following the outing, Franzen’s earned run average with Everett still stands at a clean 0.00. Right-hander Jose Geraldo also had a scoreless appearance, throwing one scoreless frame while striking out one.
