Stevenson Named MiLB Player of the Month

August 5, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: Minor League Baseball announced Wednesday the Player and Pitcher of the Month Award winners for July 2026, and Everett AquaSox catcher Luke Stevenson was named Player of the Month for the Northwest League.
Stevenson, a 22-year-old native of White House Station, New Jersey, excelled at the plate, leading the Northwest League in home runs (eight), doubles (eight), RBIs (26), total bases (58), slugging percentage (.753), and OPS (1.186) while delivering a top-three .338 batting average. Fueling the strong month were a pair of hitting streaks — one of nine games and another of seven — to go along with eight multi-hit performances.
The lefty-swinging hitter collected his first multi-homer game of his professional career, blasting two long balls on July 28 as the AquaSox took down the Hillsboro Hops 3-2 at Hops Ballpark. Additional standout performances include a three-hit, two-RBI outing featuring one home run and one double during the Frogs’ 9-5 victory over the Tri-City Dust Devils on July 1 at Everett Memorial Stadium. Stevenson also collected three hits during Everett’s 13-8 loss to the Eugene Emeralds on July 21.

Originally drafted by the Seattle Mariners in Competitive Balance Round A (35th overall) of the 2025 MLB Draft out of the University of North Carolina, Stevenson has become a key figure in the AquaSox lineup throughout the 2026 campaign. In 79 games played this season, he has posted a .251 batting average, .413 OBP, and .908 OPS while tallying 23 doubles, 15 home runs, 70 RBIs, and 76 walks. His OBP also ranks first in the Northwest League.
