FREDERICK, MD – The 2026 Baltimore Orioles Spring Breakout preliminary roster was finalized Thursday afternoon with a total of 40 players making the player pool ahead of their Spring Breakout game on Friday, March 20.

The MLB Spring Breakout is a four-day event that showcases the top 40 prospects of each respective Major League franchise with some former participants including Jackson Holliday in 2024 and Enrique Bradfield Jr. in 2025. Despite all 40 players more than likely not playing in the game itself, the Spring Breakout still brings plenty of excitement to the Minor League ranks, as rosters start to get finalized in the weeks after.

The 2026 Orioles Spring Breakout roster includes several high-level prospects including outfielder Nate George, infielder and 2025 Orioles first-round draft pick Ike Irish, and fellow infielder Wehiwa Aloy. Additionally, outfielder Vance Honeycutt made the list after homering four times in four at-bats so far during spring training this season.

Behind the dish, catcher and No. 1 ranked Orioles prospect Samuel Basallo qualified for the team along with fellow catchers Ethan Anderson, Yasmil Bruce, and Creed Willems. Other notable prospects to make the roster include No. 2 ranked Orioles prospect Dylan Beavers along with Bradfield Jr.

On the mound, left-handed pitcher Luis De León headlines a group of 16 pitchers to make the spring breakout roster. Along with De León, fellow southpaws Boston Bateman and Joseph Dzierwa got added into the 40-player pool, while standout right-hander Trey Gibson rounds out a group of talented arms on the team.

The Orioles Spring breakout game will take place on Friday, March 20 at 6:05 p.m. against the Boston Red Sox. The contest will take place at the Orioles Spring Training Complex at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Florida, and can be streamed on MLB.com.
