FREDERICK, MD – September 16, 2026 –  Minor League Baseball announced the 2026 South Atlantic League Postseason Awards and All-Star teams, with the highlight being Frederick Keys Manager Collin Woody named as the 2026 South Atlantic League Manager of the Year. He is the first Keys manager to win a league award since 1993 when Pete Mackanin was named as the Carolina League Manager of the Year and is in first Keys outright winner since Wally Moon in 1990.

Woody was given the prestigious honor after recording a regular season record of 83-46, with the 64.3% winning percentage being the best in all of affiliated Minor League Baseball. The 83 regular season wins are the most ever in Frederick Keys history. He also led the Keys to winning both the first and second half titles of the South Atlantic League. To cap it all off, Woody secured the newly reaffiliated Frederick Keys with its first playoff berth since 2017.

2026 was not Woody’s first year as a Baltimore Orioles Minor League Manager, hw served the past two seasons as manager for the Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds. Prior to his coaching career, he was drafted in the 38th round by the Orioles in the 2016 MLB Draft and finished his playing career in the Key City, where he played 79 games in 2018 with hitting 10 home runs and driving in 33 RBIs.

In addition to the Manager of the Year title, Frederick saw two players take home postseason awards from the South Atlantic League. Outfielder Enddy Azocar and left-handed relief pitcher Braeden Sloan were named to the 2026 South Atlantic League All-Star team.

Azocar spent the last month and a half of the 2026 season with the Keys and compiled a batting average of .327 in 25 games played. He also hit three homers and sent in 23 RBIs, helping Frederick win a division-best 42 games in the second half of the season. Prior to his time with Frederick, he spent his first 85 games of the season with the Red Sox organization with 46 of those coming with its High-A affiliate the Greenville Drive. He was then dealt at the MLB Trade Deadline as one of several prospects going to Baltimore in exchange for catcher Adley Rutschman.

Sloan joined the Frederick roster on April 16 from Single-A Delmarva and finished the 2026 season with a 1.55 ERA across 33 games and 46.1 innings pitched. He recorded a perfect 5-0 record while posting four saves and having 60 strikeouts as the team’s primary closer. He held oppoents as well to a .142 average at the plate and is one of two relief pitchers in the entire South Atlantic League to be named as a Postseason All-Star.

The 2027 Frederick Keys season begins on Friday, April 2 when the Keys host the Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets). Game times and ticket information will be released at a later date. Visit www.FrederickKeys.com for more information.
