Four Keys Players Named to Arizona Fall League Rosters

Fifth-Ranked Orioles Prospect Ike Irish Headlines Selections to Peoria Javelinas

FREDERICK, MD – September 16, 2026 –  Outfielders Ike Irish and Vance Honeycutt, and right-handed pitchers Kiefer Lord and Teddy Sharkey were selected to join the Peoria Javelinas in the 2026 Arizona Fall League. The Javelinas are comprised of the top prospects from the Baltimore Orioles, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, and St. Louis Cardinals.

Irish headlines the group of four players set to compete in Arizona starting on Saturday, October 3. He enters the league as the fifth-ranked prospect in the Orioles farm system and the 99th-ranked prospect overall in Major League Baseball. He finished the 2026 season with a .286 average with the Keys, along with hitting 16 home runs and driving in 59 RBIs. He also posted an OPS of .916 and played defensively in left and right field along with some time at first base.

Honeycutt began his second full season in Birdland with the High-A Keys, playing in 63 games while smashing 10 homers and delivering 31 RBIs. He finished the season with the Double-A Chesapeake Baysox and in 20 games recorded an average of .288 while posting seven doubles and five home runs. The 2024 Orioles first-round draft pick has played 197 games in his Minor League career and will make his ArizonaFall League debut in October.

Lord finished his 2026 campaign with Frederick after starting the season with the Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds. During his time in the Key City, he started nine games in 10 appearances and recorded 50 strikeouts across 32.2 innings pitched. His best outing came in a decisive game two of the doubleheader against the Hub City Spartanburgers (Rangers) on June 17, in which he went 6.2 innings and was one out shy of a complete game performance. His stellar performance helped power the Frederick Keys to the post season for the first time in nine years.

Sharkey opened the season on the Frederick Injured List and, after a brief rehab assignment with Delmarva, finished with a 1-0 record and a 0.66 ERA across nine outings and 13.2 innings pitched. He also recorded 16 strikeouts and held opponents to a .130 average at the plate, helping Frederick win the South Atlantic League North Division second half title.

The Arizona Fall League (AFL) begins its 2026 season on Saturday, October 3, with the regular season concluding on Wednesday, November 11. As part of the season, the AFL Home Run Derby will take place on Saturday, November 7, and the 20th annual AFL Fall Stars Game will take place on Sunday, November 8. The AFL Postseason includes all six teams participating in the league and will begin on Thursday, November 12, with the championship game taking place on Saturday, November 14.
