Woodbridge, VA---The Potomac Nationals are throwing it back to 1982 on Friday, June 9th, for a thrilling night of fun at Pfitzner Stadium to memorialize the '82 Alexandria Dukes' Carolina League Championship.
Friday's festivities will take P-Nats fans back 35 years in Potomac Baseball time, as the team will wear commemorative 1982 Alexandria Dukes jerseys during their 7:05pm matchup with the Down East Wood Ducks (Texas Rangers).

The commemorative game-used, to-be-autographed jerseys, will be auctioned off at the end of the game with proceeds going to benefit the Boys & Girls Club.
The P-Nats' 1982 Alexandria Dukes game used, signed jersey auction is sponsored by: Compton & Duling Attorneys at Law.
The celebration is capped off with the Potomac Nationals' first Fireworks Friday of the club's historic 40th season of Potomac Baseball.
Friday, June 9th also marks the P-Nats' third Reading Program event of the 2017 season, which will serve as The Magic School Bus Night.
A look-alike Ms. Frizzle, docent for The Magic School Bus, will make the night magical for elementary school students from around Northern Virginia. The Potomac Nationals encourage all students to bring their completed bookmarks to the game for a magical night of excitement and P-Nats Baseball, underscored by the "turn back the clock" theme of celebrating the 1982 Alexandria Dukes.
The P-Nats will also celebrate Cancer Survivor Night at The Pfitz, presented by: Sentara. The Potomac Nationals will honor those who have fought and won the rigorous battle against cancer, and also remember those who have lost their cancer battle as well. All cancer survivors will receive a free ticket, food voucher, autographed item, batting practice viewing, and overall VIP experience at Pfitzner Stadium.
As soon as you step into Pfitzner Stadium fans will feel like they stepped back 35 years in time for an Alexandria Dukes game.
The Dukes were the first franchise in Potomac Baseball history. On Friday, we will commemorate Alexandria's 1982 Carolina League Championship, the only title in its seven-year history.
Fans of The Red, White, & Blue will be able to immerse themselves in the feeling that they are enjoying a ball game at Four Mile Run Park in Alexandria, Virginia, and amidst the culture of 1982.
A to-be-announced concessions item in the Main Concession Stand at Pfitzner Stadium will be sold for a 1982 price.
Each throwback 1982 Alexandria Dukes game-used, autographed jersey will be put up for silent auction throughout the game in the main concourse for fan bidding. All jerseys will be autographed and handed out to the winners of the auction on the field after the game. Each winner will also have a chance to meet the P-Nats player or coach who wore the Dukes jersey after the game, and take a picture with that player or coach.
But that's not all! Memorabilia from the Alexandria Dukes' 1982 season will be set up in the Extreme Custom Collision Cafe Area for all fans to see.
P-Nats Fans are encouraged to bring original Dukes gear from 1978-1983. If authenticated, those who bring memorabilia into the stadium will receive one (1) free grandstand ticket to that night's game.
The night will be alive with music from 1982. Michael Jackson's Thriller album and Pink Floyd's The Wall will echo around the gallery of Pfitzner Stadium.
Fans should bring their dancing shoes as an in-game dance competition will take place.
The night wouldn't be complete without an overall history of 1982. The P-Nats will not only bring back interesting facts from Potomac Baseball's championship season for the Alexandria Dukes, but also feature significant historical events from the year.
From the introduction of the computer and compact discs, to the birth of Prince William, 1982 was an eventful and memorable year just like Flashback Friday will be at The Pfitz!
With the invention of Skittles in 1982, fans can take part in a guessing game to win a season ticket holder exclusive Barry Bonds 1985 Prince William Pirates throwback bobblehead!
A jar on the concourse will be filled with Skittles and whoever can guess how many Skittles are in the jar will win the exclusive Bonds bobblehead.
The Woodbridge night sky will be lit up with a fireworks show after the conclusion of the game per the P-Nats' first Fireworks Friday of the season, sponsored by WTOP.
The fireworks show will fittingly take place to the backdrop of Michael Jackson tunes from his Thriller album.
