In the bottom-half, Brooklyn got a one-out RBI single to center from shortstop
The Renegades seemed to have the game in hand after they plated two runs in the sixth to take a 4-2 lead. Two singles and a walk loaded the bases with one out when Smith drew another bases-loaded walk to push Hudson Valley in front. Proctor then lined a single to center to score designated hitter
The Cyclones would respond by scoring the next three runs of the game. In the bottom of the sixth, Brooklyn got an unearned run after rightfielder Dave Miranda reached second on a one-out fielding error by Hudson Valley first baseman
Brooklyn got on the board in the second inning thanks to another unearned run. Miranda started the frame by reaching second on a dropped flyball from Hudson Valley rightfielder
Hudson Valley would storm back with two runs in the fifth. A one-out, bases-loaded sacrifice fly from centerfielder Michael Smith tied the game, then a single to center by Proctor scored Ostberg from second to give the Renegades a 2-1 lead.
Brooklyn retied the game in the bottom-half of the fifth. With two out, Brizuela drew a walk then scored on a double to center from leftfielder
There were 22 hits between the two teams, including 12 from Hudson Valley. Ostberg and third baseman
Brooklyn got two hits apiece from Medina, Pascual, Avant, and Brizuela. Pascual and Brizuela each drove in two runs, while Medina picked up a couple of doubles.
Getting the win for Brooklyn was Colon (2-0) who allowed a run in his lone inning of work. The loss went to Renegades reliever
Hudson Valley will try to salvage one game of their series against Brooklyn tomorrow. First-pitch is set for 7:00p.m. Righty
The Renegades kick off the home portion of their season when they face the Vermont Lake Monsters on Thursday, June 21 from Dutchess Stadium.
