INDIANAPOLIS - Two of Indiana's most respected college baseball programs will take the field in downtown Indianapolis as Indiana University hosts the University of Notre Dame at Victory Field on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Starting today, fans may purchase group tickets and suite rentals by contacting the Victory Field Box Office at [email protected] or (317) 269-3545.

Single-game tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
Both teams share a storied baseball rivalry that dates back to 1898. The Fighting Irish lead the all-time series 68-33-1 and have won seven of the last eight meetings after Indiana won 10 straight from 1984-89. Indiana is coming off a 34-24-2 campaign and seventh NCAA appearance in school history, while Notre Dame looks to bounce back from a 26-32 season with hopes of reaching the NCAA Tournament for a 23rd time.
"Bringing this intra-state baseball rivalry [Indiana vs. Notre Dame] back to Victory Field and downtown Indianapolis is exciting not only for the fans and alumni of both schools, but for the student-athletes as well," said Indianapolis Indians president and general manager Randy Lewandowski. "We are eager to provide another great experience in what we expect to be an intense game between two of our state's best."
Victory Field has hosted Indiana University baseball games each of the last three years. Last season, Indiana walked off Ball State in a thrilling 10-inning, 4-3 victory. In 2016, Notre Dame blanked Indiana 5-0. In 2015, the Hoosiers orchestrated a dramatic, come-from-behind victory in the bottom of the ninth, beating the Fighting Irish 6-5.
