INDIANAPOLIS - Two of the state's best college baseball programs will take the field in downtown Indianapolis as Indiana University takes on Ball State University at Victory Field on Tuesday, April 25. Starting today, tickets are on sale to the public at IndyIndians.com.
Pricing is $8 for adults and $5 for children (ages 3-14). Kids 2 and under are admitted for free. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
Both teams share a storied baseball rivalry that dates back to 1920. The Hoosiers lead the all-time series 29-26 and have won the last seven out of 10 matchups. Each school is coming off successful seasons in 2016, the Hoosiers finishing with an overall record of 32-24 and Ball State finishing at 32-26.
Victory Field has hosted Indiana University baseball games each of the last two years. Last season, nearly 7,000 fans watched Notre Dame defeat Indiana 5-0. In 2015, the Hoosiers orchestrated a dramatic, come-from-behind victory in the bottom of the ninth, beating the Fighting Irish 6-5.
