Iowa Cubs Release 2024 Home Game Times

This schedule includes 75 home games, including 38 weekend games. The Iowa Cubs are proud to continue our partnership with KCCI to feature each of our 75 home dates with the first pitch scheduled to start on the 8’s.
Iowa will open the year with three road games against the Omaha Storm Chasers beginning on Friday, March 29, before the home opener at Principal Park on Tuesday, April 2, against the Toledo Mud Hens.
All Tuesday home games will begin at 6:38 pm, all Wednesday home games at 12:08 pm, all Friday games will have a 7:08 pm first pitch and all Sunday games are scheduled to start at 1:08 pm. Similar to the 2023 schedule, the Iowa Cubs’ 2024 schedule will see 15 mid-week day games and three early Saturday games to go along with 12 Sunday games.
The Fourth of July game on Thursday will start at 7:08 pm and will include the Citizenship Ceremony as well as a special firework show. All other Thursday games will start at 6:38 pm aside for three early-season day games played on April 18, May 2 and May 9 starting at 12:08 pm.
Along with the three Thursday day games, Iowa will play 12 Wednesday day games with first pitch slated for 12:08 pm. The first three Saturday home games of the year on April 6, April 20 and May 4 will all have a 3:08 pm first pitch, while the remaining 10 Saturday games on Iowa’s home schedule will begin at 6:08 pm.
As shown in red on the calendar, the I-Cubs will have 13 Firework Fridays brought to you by Mediacom in 2024 as well as a special holiday firework show on Thursday, July 4. Other weekly fan favorites that will be back in 2024 will be our “Twos-days” promotion for every Tuesday home game, the Windy City bundle on Wednesday’s, Mug Club on Thursday’s and Family Fun Pack on Sunday’s. Pre-Game Catch on the Field before every Saturday home game and Bike to the Ballpark at the Bike Gate brought to you by Bike World on Sunday’s. Kids Run the Bases after every Sunday game brought to you by Blank Children’s Hospital will also be back.
Iowa will host the Memphis Redbirds for the Triple-A version of the Cubs versus Cardinals rivalry for six games at Principal Park from Tuesday, Aug. 27 to Sunday, Sept. 1, while two new teams will be on the schedule for Iowa in 2024, as they travel to both the Syracuse Mets (New York Mets) and Rochester Red Wings (Washington Nationals) for six-game series.
Aside from the season-opening series and the first series after the MLB All-Star break, each matchup will feature a six-game series running from Tuesday to Sunday with each Monday scheduled for a league-wide off day. Iowa will play twice on a Monday in 2024, once on July 1 at Omaha and again on Sept. 2 at St. Paul. All game times and dates for the 2024 schedule are subject to change.
