Knights Drop Saturday's Game to Indians 7-2

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) -- The Charlotte Knights dropped the middle game of their three-game series against the Indianapolis Indians by a score of 7-2 on Saturday from Victory Field in Indianapolis, IN. The loss was Charlotte's second straight of the season.

Charlotte Knights LHP TJ House (0-3, 9.75) was charged with the loss after he allowed six runs on seven hits over three innings pitched. RHP Tyler Danish was sharp in relief of House, as he tossed three scoreless innings. LHP Xavier Cedeño (1.0 IP, 1 R, 0 ER) and RHP Juan Minaya (1.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER) combined to pitch the final two innings of the game.

The Knights only runs of the game came off the bat of outfielder Charlie Tilson, who singled home two runs in the top of the fourth inning. First baseman Casey Gillaspie chipped in with two of Charlotte's five hits on the night.

Indianapolis RHP Austin Coley (1-1, 10.80) earned the win after he allowed just two runs on four hits over five innings. Indianapolis used three relievers to record the final 12 outs of the game. RHP Tanner Anderson struck-out three batters over two shutout innings.

The Knights will conclude the series against the Indians from Indianapolis, IN on Sunday in game three of the three-game series from Victory Field. KNIGHTS KNOTES: Before the game, the Knights announced three roster moves... RHP Gregory Infante was promoted to the Chicago White Sox to take the roster spot of former Knights RHP Danny Farquhar, who was placed on Chicago's DL. Farquhar suffered a brain hemorrhage during the sixth inning of Chicago's game on Thursday. Infante became the third player promoted to the majors this season from the Knights... Catcher Kevan Smith completed his MLB Rehab Assigment and was optioned to the Knights... Additionally, RHP Ricardo Pinto was promoted to Charlotte from High-A Winston-Salem. A member of the White Sox 40-man roster, Pinto was not active in time for Saturday's game... The Knights have lost seven of their last eight games against the Indians dating back to 2017.
