(Uptown Charlotte, NC) - As the Charlotte Knights begin a new chapter in Charlotte Baseball history, the team unveiled their inaugural 2014 season logo on Thursday afternoon. The inaugural season logo will highlight the club's thrilling first season at BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte and it will be incorporated in a variety of ways throughout the 2014 campaign.
""The inaugural season logo will commemorate the team's return to the city of Charlotte and its first season ever in Uptown at the soon-to-be-completed BB&T Ballpark," said Knights General Manager of Baseball Operations Scotty Brown. "Back in October, we unveiled our new logo set and we're happy to incorporate our new inaugural season logo into the mix. New logos are just the beginning of all of the new and exciting things we have in store for 2014 as we celebrate our return to the Queen City."
Along with the beautiful Uptown Charlotte skyline, the inaugural season logo features a Knights shield, two swords, and the team's new primary "C" logo. It also features elements of the team's recently unveiled new logo set, which was officially revealed to the public on October 24, 2013 in the Charlotte Convention Center Ballroom. T-shirts with the inaugural season logo will be available for sale as Opening Day approaches.
The new inaugural season logo, along with the team's entire logo set, was designed by Brandiose, Minor League Baseball's preeminent logo design firm known for aligning teams' stories with unique designs. All of the Knights new logos showcase gold and silver -- colors synonymous with royalty, as well as black with white accents.
