MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game road trip with a 4-2 win at the Gwinnett Stripers on Saturday night at Coolray Field.

For the second straight night, shortstop Jose Fermin led off the game with a home run. The right-handed hitter continued to push higher in top-10 of many International League offensive categories. First baseman Luken Baker and second baseman Nick Dunn each added a solo shot in the game.

Victor Santos (1-3) provided a nice bounce-back outing for the right-handed starter. Santos tossed 6.2 innings allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits, walked two and struck out three. Ryan Loutos (S, 3) tossed 2.0 scoreless innings to take the team lead in saves.

Saturday night’s game marked the fourth straight start in which a Memphis pitcher allowed one earned run or fewer. Right-handed pitcher Michael McGreevy takes the mound tomorrow afternoon in an attempt to make it an entire turn through the rotation of dominant starting pitching.

The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park to begin a six-game series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A, Miami Marlins) on Tuesday, April 23 with first pitch for 6:45 p.m. CDT.
