Redbirds Kick-Off Twelve-Game Homestand on Thursday
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds will open their longest homestand of the 2014 season at AutoZone Park on Thursday, June 5 when they host the Nashville Sounds (Triple-A Brewers), Tacoma Rainiers (Triple-A Mariners) and Reno Aces (Triple-A Diamondbacks). The twelve games in twelve days will include two firework shows, a Stan Musial bobblehead giveaway and special Egyptian-themed jerseys.
Thursday, June 5 vs. Nashville Sounds at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)
- Michelob Ultra Patio Package: Celebrate the Redbirds opening of their season-high twelve-game homestand with a Michelob Ultra Patio Package, which includes a 16 oz. Michelob Ultra and a Field Box ticket to the game. Michelob Ultras will also be available for $3 above section 123 on the concourse in right field throughout the game. (Note: Must be 21 or older to purchase. We I.D.)
Friday, June 6 vs. Nashville Sounds at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)
- Stan Musial Bobblehead Giveaway: The Redbirds will honor the late St. Louis Cardinal great Stan Musial with a bobblehead giveaway. The commemorative figurine will be given away to 2,000 fans and portrays Musial wearing the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
- Coors Light Block Party: Gates will open early for a Block Party featuring 16 oz. Coors Light for $2 and live music from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the AutoZone Park plaza.
Saturday, June 7 vs. Nashville Sounds at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)
- Salute to Memphis, Egypt: This night will be filled with fun festivities and interesting getups as the Redbirds pay tribute to Memphis, Egypt. As part of the special evening, the Redbirds will don special blue and yellow Egyptian-themed jerseys presented by Emergency Mobile Health Care that will transform the players from head to toe. Fans can participate in a silent auction from gates open until the end of the sixth inning. Auction winners will be taken onto the field to retrieve their purchased jersey from the player following the game.
- Post-game Fireworks: Stick around following the conclusion of the game for a special fireworks show set to Memphis-themed music.
- Signature Saturdays: Select Redbirds players will be made available before the game in the AutoZone Park Plaza to sign autographs.
Sunday, June 8 vs. Nashville Sounds at 1:35 p.m. (gates open at 12:30 p.m.)
- Kids Run the Bases: Kids 12 and under have the chance to run the bases following the game.
- Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Batting Practice: Redbirds' Champions Club VIP members will enjoy a thirty minute batting practice session on field after the game.
Monday, June 9 vs. Tacoma Rainiers at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)
- Series Opener: The Redbirds welcome the Rainiers to AutoZone Park for their only series of the season.
Tuesday, June 10 vs. Tacoma Rainiers at 7:02 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)
- TWOsday: Tuesdays are now "TWO"-sdays at AutoZone Park featuring $2 hot dogs, popcorn, soft drinks, special in-game giveaways, and $2 off Bud Lights.
Wednesday, June 11 vs. Tacoma Rainiers at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)
- Memphis and Tacoma will play the third game of their four-game series.
Thursday, June 12 vs. Tacoma Rainiers at 12:05 p.m. (gates open at 11:00 a.m.)
- Michelob Ultra Patio Package: Fans can purchase the Michelob Ultra Patio Package that includes a 16 oz. Michelob Ultra and a Field Box ticket. Michelob Ultras will also be available for $3 above section 123 on the concourse in right field throughout the game. (Note: Must be 21 or older to purchase. We I.D.)
- Summer Camp Day: A number of different summer camps from around the area will be enjoying this matinee game and so should you. Take an extended lunch break and come on down to AutoZone Park.
Friday, June 13 vs. Reno Aces at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)
- "Feeling Lucky?" T-shirt Giveaway: In addition to 3,000 fans receiving a "Feeling Lucky?" T-shirt, the Redbirds will be tweeting locations of team-related prizes, giveaways and tickets leading up to and during the game from the Twitter handle @HiddenRedbirds. So you should ask yourself: are you feeling lucky?
- Coors Light Block Party: Gates will open early for a Block Party featuring 16 oz. Coors Light for $2 and live music from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the AutoZone Park plaza.
Saturday, June 14 vs. Reno Aces at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)
- Faith and Family Night: The Redbirds are inviting your church and family out for an evening of fun at AutoZone Park. Local Memphis band Laramie from Visible Music College will perform a pre-game concert that all fans can enjoy in the Plaza when the gates open at 5:00 p.m.
- Trading Card Set Giveaway: The Redbirds are giving 1,500 fans the chance to take home their favorite players with a set of 2014 Redbirds trading cards.
- Post-game Fireworks: Stick around following the conclusion of the game for a fireworks show set to family-favorite movies.
- Signature Saturdays: Select Redbird players will be made available before the game in the AutoZone Park Plaza to sign autographs.
- Baby Races: Some of the fastest crawling babies will be on display as the fan-favorite baby races take place.
Sunday, June 15 vs. Reno Aces at 1:35 p.m. (gates open at 12:30 p.m.)
- Father's Day and Prostrate Cancer Awareness: The Redbirds are inviting dads to spend their special day at the park. For $42, fans can receive a club level ticket and the chance to chow down on a buffet available on the first base party deck. Dads and their kids are encouraged to bring their own baseball gear and enjoy a round of catch on the field following the game all presented by Valvoline.
Monday, June 16 vs. Reno Aces at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.)
- Homestand Finale: Redbirds fans have one last chance to catch the team in action before a 10-day period of games on the road.
At the homestand's conclusion, Memphis will head out west for eight games against Salt Lake City (Triple-A Angels) and Las Vegas (Triple-A Mets) before enjoying a league-wide off day. The 'Birds will be back at AutoZone Park for a four-game series against the division-rival Round Rock Express (Triple-A Rangers) on Thursday, June 26.
