MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds took the loss in game four of a six-game series against the Nashville Sounds on Friday night at AutoZone Park by a final score of 4-1.

The Redbirds lone run came in the bottom of the first inning when Alec Burleson grounded into a 4-6-3 double play. Center fielder Ben DeLuzio scored from third after leading off the inning with a walk. Memphis would only get one more baserunner into scoring position the rest of the night.

Kyle Ryan starred in relief, tossing a much-needed 3.2 innings of scoreless baseball. The left-handed pitcher allowed just one hit and pitched through the sixth inning ahead of a scheduled bullpen game tomorrow night.

The Memphis Redbirds (37-27) will return home to AutoZone Park to continue a six-game series and the 12-game homestand against the International League West leading Nashville Sounds on Saturday, June 18 for a 7:05 p.m. CDT first pitch.
