MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds continued a 12-game homestand with a 7-1 loss to the Gwinnett Stripers in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at AutoZone Park.

Dakota Hudson (1-2) made his first start off the Injured List on Sunday. The right-handed pitcher tossed 2.0 innings, allowed one earned run on one hit and walked two batters. Hudson threw 48 pitches in his first appearance since April 19.

In his Triple-A debut, Memphis catcher Nick Raposo reached base three times. The backstop went 2-for-3 with a walk. Designated hitter Jordan Walker also added another multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 with a double and an infield single in his final two plate appearances.

In the first five innings, Memphis recorded two hits and stranded one baserunner against Gwinnett starter Allan Winans. The Redbirds bats woke up in the final four frames and recorded six hits, but Memphis stranded multiple runners on base in each inning to end the game.

The Redbirds (25-20) return to AutoZone Park on Tuesday, May 22 to continue a 12-game homestand at 6:45p.m. CDT. You can find more information on upcoming promotions at AutoZone Park here.
