MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game road trip with an 2-1 loss at the Gwinnett Stripers on Wednesday afternoon at Coolray Field.

Starting pitcher Adam Kloffenstein posted his best outing of the young 2024 season. The right-handed pitcher allowed one run on two hits, walked five and struck out five batters. Kyle Leahy (0-1) allowed a run in an inning of relief.

The lone Memphis run came in on a centerfielder Mike Antico sacrifice fly that brought home catcher Nick Raposo in the fifth inning. The Redbirds went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position and left five runners on base. Second baseman Jose Fermin stayed hot with a 2-for-4 day.

The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park to begin a six-game series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A, Miami Marlins) on Tuesday, April 23 with first pitch for 6:45 p.m. CDT.
