ERIE, PA – The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (20-30, 54-63) were shut down in their Saturday night showdown against the Erie SeaWolves (34-16, 70-48) at UPMC Park, 7-0. Erie’s Kenny Serwa fired his second consecutive seven-inning start, as New Hampshire’s Alexis Hernandez doubled in the seventh to extend his hit streak to eight games.
Serwa (W, 7-8) struck out six and walked three in seven scoreless innings. Erie relievers Yoniel Curet and Tanner Kohlhepp buttoned up the final six outs. New Hampshire was held to 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position.
New Hampshire’s Jackson Wentworth allowed two runs on a pair of solo homers through his first two innings in his Saturday start. After the second, Wentworth went on a streak of retiring nine in a row before he allowed four runs on four hits with one out in the fifth inning. Alex Amalfi gave up a solo homer in two innings and struck out four, and right-hander Jonathan Todd struck out two in a scoreless eighth.

Erie got a pair of solo home runs in their first two innings off New Hampshire’s Wentworth from shortstop Peyton Graham and catcher Luke Shliger and claimed an early 2-0 lead. Wentworth then went on a span of retiring his next nine batters before Erie stretched the lead in the bottom of the fifth.
Following back-to-back singles, center fielder Woody Hadeen plated two runs with a triple, and Graham knocked his second home run of the night in the ensuing at-bat to open up a 6-0 lead.
SeaWolves third baseman Izaac Pacheco ended the scoring in the bottom of the sixth with a leadoff solo home run off New Hampshire’s Amalfi to make it a 7-0 game.
The Fisher Cats and SeaWolves close the curtains on the six-game series on Sunday afternoon with a 1:35 PM first pitch from UPMC Park. Fisher Cats RHP Nolan Perry (0-0, 1.88 ERA) takes on SeaWolves LHP Joe Miller (2-1, 3.93 ERA) in a rematch from Tuesday’s series-opener.
Following the six-game series at Erie, the Cats return to Delta Dental Stadium for the penultimate home series of the 2026 season. The Manchester Coconut Tenders take the field on August 29. The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a Coconut Tenders bobblehead giveaway presented by Delta Dental. Saturday is Dartmouth Health’s Love Your Heart Night with postgame Atlas fireworks. The series concludes on Sunday, August 30, with Princesses at the Park. It is Back to School Day presented by NH Healthy Families and kids can run the bases postgame.
